UW Health requires TWO TB SKIN TESTS (PPDs) for onboarding. BLOOD TESTS ARE NOT ACCEPTED 1st PPD must be uploaded NO later than one week prior to start date (and must be dated within 12 weeks prior to start date). 2nd PPD must be uploaded within 30 days from start date (please note- assignments may be terminated if traveler does not meet compliance within 30 days).
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to: Join the Cardiovascular Medicine and Cardiothoracic Surgery team in the CVCT ICU and provide high quality care to patients on this acuity adaptable unit for critical care and intermediate care patients. Ensure care is delivered with a mixture of technological expertise and a positive commitment to meeting patient and family needs. Be an integral part of a team that provides care for patients requiring specialized care for cardiac and thoracic surgeries and procedures, heart and/or lung transplants, medical devices and a variety of cardiovascular medical diagnoses
Must have experience Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Acuity Adaptable area (3 or above).
Traveler must have completed two years of acute care (MS/MS/Tele or PCU) experience within last 3 years due to floating requirements.
Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 -Trauma center or similar size hospital.
Travelers are the first to float. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization. During the traveler’s assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract.
Parking: Permit required by UW Transportation Services
Shift Information: 36 hrs/wk, Day/Evening, 12 hr shift, Monday- Friday variation of 6:30am-7pm with possible 9:40am-10pm every three weeks. Weekend and weekday call rotation every 5th week. Weekend call is Friday-Monday starting at 3pm on Friday. **Traveler may be mandated to stay beyond scheduled shift for patient care needs *On-Call Requirement: Call response time is 45 minutes: 45 minutes from phone call to be dressed in scrubs and reporting to the charge nurse
