Additional Details:
A minimum of 1 year acute care experience is required to work in acute care facilities. The following are considered acute care facilities: Hospital (General Acute Care as well as Psychiatric, Specialized and Rehabilitation Hospitals, and Long Term Acute Care or LTAC), and Ambulatory Care Facilities.
Med Surg Telemetry Trauma
Weekends: Every Other.
Holidays: Every.
Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals. Will accept 36 or 48 hours per week.
Our Trauma Surgical Unit is primarily home to our acute care trauma and surgical patient population.
Nurses in this area have a 1:6 ratio and specialize in an interdisciplinary team approach to each patient's specific needs. This unit's staff are experts in trauma but also ortho and urology patients as this unit will provide care to this population as well.
This unit values collaboration with family practice physicians, hospitalists, as well as a variety of surgical specialists while proudly providing individualized attention to all patients who are hospitalized for illness, surgery, or testing and observation.
Education - Required: Associated degree in nursing.
Nursys
2 years experience; however, will consider 18 months of experience, working under the highest level of professional license, and must have 1 year of experience in the field of specialty.
RNs Only - All RNs are required to complete a Cardiac Exam during onboarding. RNs are allowed two attempts and must achieve a minimum score of 80% to pass prior to clearance. ICU and ED RNs will also be required to take an on-site test in addition to the online pre-test.
