Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required.
Travel experience is required.
24 months of Emergency Department experience is required.
Experience with Epic is preferred.
References

Unit Specific Details:

  • 28 beds with additional 3 flex beds. 7 fast track. 2 triage bays.
  • Ratios 1:4. Average daily volume 130 patients, can see anywhere from 110-160 patients/day.
  • *All listed ratios are subject to change based on staffing availability at the facility. Ratios are never guaranteed but are what the unit typically attempts to achieve with normalized staffing.
  • Multi line management, drip management, infusions, vents, moderate sedation, heparin drips, IV insulin, IV, PO, SQ, IM medication administration, foley insertion, NG tube insertion, restraints, and seizure management.
  • IV pumps, Rapid Infuser, Bair Hugger, Artic Sun, mattress sliders, IV warmers.
  • Level 3 trauma center, GSW, MVA, Stroke, MI, Diabetic patient management, psych patients. Pediatrics, adults, psych, medical, falls, pretty much every ER type patients.
  • Lab, radiology and transport available for support if they have staffing. 1 ER physician on 24/7 and a second on from 10:00-03:00.
  • Three midlevel providers spread throughout days/nights.

Education Bachelor of Science Nursing (preferred)

Recent Critical Care experience (preferred)
