Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required.

24 months of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit experience is required.

3 months of experience with Epic is preferred.

References

Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Idaho license or compact license

Additional Details:

Rotating weekends.

Patient Ratios : 1:2 (sometimes 3 if they are step down patients or Peds patients).

Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : RN’s only – no CNA’s or Unit Secretary

Type of equipment : Ventilators, central lines, art lines, alaris pumps

Documentation system: Meditech

Scheduling requirements: schedule 1 month at a time

Floating policy: will float to other units if PICU is low census

On Call Expectations: -Weekend Requirement: 50% weekends depending on needs.

Patient Experience requirements: looking for previous PICU experience, trauma & burn preferred.

Advanced skills needed: experience with ventilators, high flow, chest tubes, IV placement, experience with central lines, urinary catheter placement, NG placement, trach care.

Navy blue scrubs, can wear a pediatric friendly top.
