Call required, EOW, first to float

Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Average # of cases per day 1-3

Common Cases: CABG, Valve replacements, TAVR support for the Cath Lab, Trachs, Thoracotomy, VATS, pericardial window, sternotomy, Pleurodesis, Additional experience in first assisting for general, ortho, vascular, urology, GYN, plastics, podiatry, and Neuro cases would be of benefit

Experience or 'Must have' skills: 1st and 2nd scrub for Cardiothoracic surgical procedures including ability to perform endovein harvest for vessels. Must be able to circulate cardiothoracic cases also

Scrubbing required: - RN's Yes

Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) Work with the manager on scheduling - block scheduling at their discretion. Shifts start at 6 am but the lengths will vary on need. It is Mon-FRi with call for Cardiothoracic cases and float to other specialties if needed

Weeknight/Call Requirements: Yes, Call hours are end of shift until beginning of next day. Call will be shared with 2 cardiothoracic mid levels for first assist, and 3 RNs for circulating cardiothoracic cases. First assists typically take call a week at a time. Call can be as much as every other weekend and two days a week average. It depends on how many RNFA's we have.
