Experience
12 months of role experience is required.
24 months of Progressive Care Unit experience is required.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a West Virginia license or compact license

Additional Details:

Previous perm staff must be gone for 2 years before they are eligible to return in a traveler capacity. No exceptions.

Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.

Guaranteed Hours 36

Rotate every other weekend and holidays

Floating Requirement: Travel staff are required to float to Med-Surg Telemetry if not needed in ICU or Stepdown. Also required to float to the Emergency Department to care for boarded PCU or ICU patients.

Number of Beds: 11 (increasing 11-12 beds following ICU expansion)

Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Post op vascular; hemodynamically stable cardiac dysrhythmias, CVA, Sepsis, Renal patients, Stable acute MI, Unstable angina, Post Cardiac Cath with PCTA or with a significant blockage

Experience: Due to need to float to ICU or Stepdown, ICU skill set is required , Bipap, Cpap, Mechanical Ventilation, telemetry, critical drips, post cardiac cath care required, CRRT and IABP preferred. 1-2 years cricial care experience.

Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes - Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Insulin, Cardizem, Heparin, Amiodarone, Lose dose Dopamine
