Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required from any number of months.

24 months of Cardiovascular Operating Room experience is required from any number of months.

Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Alabama license or compact license

Certifications

BLS (Required)

ACLS (Required)

Additional Details:

No RTO will be approved during the following dates:

-Mother’s Day Weekend: 5/10 - 5/12

-Memorial Day Weekend: 5/24 - 5/26

-Father’s Day Weekend: 6/14 - 6/16

-Fourth of July Weekend: 7/3 - 7/7

Scheduling:

-Weekend rotation: On call

-On call: 1 day a weekday, one weekend a month (Friday 3p-7a, Saturday 24 hours, Sunday 24 hours.) Take about 10 days call per month.

-30 minutes response time

-Holiday Expectations: Expected to work a holiday per contract

Patient Types:

-Minimal Peds (typically Ortho)

-Open heart, CABG, TAVR, AVR, MVR, Sternotomy, Thoracotomy/Thoracoscopy, VATS, ECMO

Required Skills:

-Strong experience in Trauma (no burns), Neuro, General, Vascular, ENT, General, Ortho spine, Ortho (must have total joint experience), Gyn, vascular (Endovascular as well), urology, robotics for both General and Neuro, Plastics, breasts, eyes

-RN: circulate only, experience in above case types

-Prefer robotics experience (Robotic Mazor/DaVinci XI)

-CVOR: CVOR experience and experience with these patient types: Open heart, CABG, TAVR, AVR, MVR, Sternotomy, Thoracotomy/Thoracoscopy, VATS, ECMO
