Additional Details:
A minimum of 1 year acute care experience within the most recent 12 months is required to work in acute care facilities. The following are considered acute care facilities: Hospital (General Acute Care as well as Psychiatric, Specialized and Rehabilitation Hospitals, and Long Term Acute Care or LTAC), and Ambulatory Care Facilities.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Successful completion of EKG course
Current PALS certification (excludes FBC) - Required
Patient Ratio: The patient ratio for ICU is 1/2 for all ICU status patients. If Med Surg status patients are in the unit, the ICU nurse often takes 1/4 if there are no current ICU status patients.
The patient population varies- but DKA, Cardiac, Sepsis, Surgical, and high risk of decline patients are often admitted to the ICU

Inpatient experience preferred.
Successful completion of basic fetal monitoring course within 4 months of hire.
