Experience

12 months of role experience is required from any number of months.

24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required from last 12 months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Michigan license

Additional Details:

A minimum of 1 year acute care experience is required to work in acute care facilities. The following are considered acute care facilities: Hospital (General Acute Care as well as Psychiatric, Specialized and Rehabilitation Hospitals, and Long Term Acute Care or LTAC), and Ambulatory Care Facilities.

Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36

Weekend Hours: Rotating.

Float Requirements: Occasional to “like” unit.

Equipment: Telemetry monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Kangaroo pump, Bladder scanner, Dynamaps.

Patient Population: Adult and geriatric, 18 - 125

Must Have Skills/Experience: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Preferred Skillset/Experience: Prefer experience on a medical/surgical unit.

Required Education: Batchelor’s degree.

Scrub Color: Galaxy Blue (Navy is also acceptable).
