24 months of role experience is required.
Experience with Cerner is preferred.
References

Ratios: 1:2-3, unstable vent patients 1:1

Common diagnoses/Types of patients sepsis, respiratory failure, encephalopathy, DKA, COPD exacerbation, RSV/Influenza/COVID-19, occasional stable pediatric patients (mixed unit)- must be comfortable with all age populations.

Experience or 'Must have' skills ventilator, drip titrations

Are RNs required to titrate drips? yes

Common titratable &/or set rate drips heparin, vasopressors, Bumex, insulin, sedation/analgesa.

Weekend Requirement every other

Holiday Requirement negotiable

Is there a call or standby requirement? if placed on low census, expected to report within 30 minutes of call.

Floating Requirements RNs not fully crosstrained to other departments are expected to assist if floating as "helping hands". May elect to fully crosstrain to other departments.

Scrub Color/Dress Code Navy blue

Unit/Department specific orientation 3-6 shifts, longer if needed
