Previous perm staff must be gone for 2 years before they are eligible to return in a traveler capacity. No exceptions.
Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.

Block scheduling allowed as long as needs are met for the unit. Takes requests into consideration.
Rotating weekends and holidays required for unit coverage.
Floating Requirements?: If not needed on 5P, would be required to float to 3P or 4P (M/S) units or to care for patients boarded in the Emergency Department. Boarders are intermixed in ED. Float pool floats first, then will be in rotation.
Beds: 32
Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Surgical/Orthopedics/Urology/Medical; Age specific population - adult, geriatrics. Hips, Shoulders, Knees.
Experience: Care of post operative and medical patients.
Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes - Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Heparin based on protocol. Prefer cardiac drip experience.
