Requirements
Experience
24 months of role experience is required.
24 months of Intensive Care Unit experience is required.
Experience with Cerner is preferred.
References
Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 36 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a California license

Guaranteed 36 hours per week

Every other weekend. First to float.

Certs: Dysrhythmia certification through AHA

Holidays work in perm staff rotation

Scrub Color: navy

Call: not required but if they want to take call they can

Floating: Would rarely float but if they did it would be to medsurg where pt ratio would be 1 to 5, could also float to peds 1 to 4 if qualified and ER if qualified

Common diagnosis / Types of patients: High number of sepsis patients, medical-surgical patients, DKA, CHF, COPD, cardiac caths get shipped out because they do not have cath lab

Additional Notes: Most patients on this unit are borderline stepdown patients, 2-3 nurses on per shift, must be able to hit the ground running and blend into culture and family type atmosphere, drips include heparin, insulin, levophed, dopamine, must be team player and have experience working a smaller ICU unit
