Experience
10 months of Acute Care Float Pool experience is required.
Experience with Epic is required.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 36 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Alaska license
Certifications
BLS (Required)
ACLS (Preferred)
Vaccinations

Additional Details:

Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00) Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)

Skills Req: Telemetry, PCU, Cardiac Drips

Is on-call Req: No

Weekend Req: Yes - every other

Guaranteed Hours: 60 Hours per 2 weeks

Holidays: traveler must be willing to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year

Can only submit to 1 location within the region (PAMC, Seward, Valdez, Saint Elias Specialty Hospital, and Kodiak)

Candidates will float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals near by

Return Staff Policy (6 months to return as traveler)

Facility only accepts Hep B vaccines and will not take titers or declination

Modules:

  • Modules are completed pre-start, and annually
  • Time spent on modules is self-reported, completion is recorded in Workramp transcripts

All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.
