Guaranteed Hours 36 hours per week
Nurse: Patient Ratios: 1:2, if we do have downgrades we staff the medical patients at 1:5 and PCU at 1:4
Common diagnoses/Types of patients: COPD, pneumonia, CVA, TIA, DKA, sepsis, CHF, STEMI, neuro
Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes
Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Vasopressors, Insulin, TNK, Heparin, IV Antibiotics, Sedatives
Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors?: RNs must read and interpret
Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): 0630-1900, 1830-0700 // Schedule is done by unit scheduler
Weekend Requirements: Every other
Holiday Requirements: Varies, based on unit needs
Floating Requirements: Will float to PCU and Medical floors
Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy Blue
RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
