Travel Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

36 guaranteed hours

If you have a multistate license, you will be required to complete a 1-time 6-hour suicide prevention training according to WA state regulations.

Experience: 2 full years of true ER experience (any trauma level); CAP – 5 years minimum

Will be assigned a primary OCED, but the expectation when needed is to float to other OCED sites as needed and primary site may change depending on needs.

Minimum night staffing varies per location- usually 4 RN & 1 LPN, but can be 2 RN & 1 LPN

Skills required Strong ED experience, strong customer service, ventilator class (BiPAP) will provide during on boarding, knowledge of medication administration (mix own meds), chest tubes, central lines, strong IV skills

Floating:

All other OCEDS; CAP – will only float if resident is not there (i.e. sick, in class)

Mid shift floating (will pay for travel time)

Will call traveler if you have to float before shift starts

Patient Types:

Neonates – Geriatrics, 25% Peds, Walk-in traumas, all types of patients ranging from cardiac, neuro, GI, respiratory, psych, frequent drop off GSWs

Will have to provide care to intubated patients will provide training for ventilator and bipap as there are no RT’s onsite, RN’s manage vent/bipap
