Requirements
Experience
24 months of role experience is required.
12 months of Progressive Care Unit experience is required.
3 months of experience with Epic is preferred.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Washington license or compact license

If you have a multistate license, you will be required to complete a 1-time 6-hour suicide prevention training according to WA state regulations.

Patient Types:

  • MS/PCU non specialty unit, respiratory failure, sepsis, GIB, bariatric post op, diabetic, CHF, COPD, PNA, Acute SNF patients, TIA/Stroke rule out
  • Mixed acuity MS/PCU

Skills required

  • Telemetry experience, CIWA, BiPAP, Central line maintenance/management, tube/drain management, cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV skills
  • Preferred: Chest tube management, trach care, home vent
  • Common Medication: Cardizem, Dopamine, heparin, nitro, Lasix, Dilaudid (comfort care/PCA)
  • If titrating constantly, will reconsider for ICU or patient reassignment

Floating:

  • ED Holding (all service levels within scope and below)
  • Overflow areas
  • No specific MS units Travelers will float first
