24 months of Progressive Care Unit experience is required.
References
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 36 months in order to be considered for this role

EOW and Holiday

Nurse/Patient Ratios: ICU 1/2, PCU 1/4, MedSurg 1/5

Scrub Color: Royal blue scrubs.

First time traveler okay

Prefer ICU background, otherwise must have PCU background

Must be able to titrate drips. Must be comfortable taking PCU (1/4) or MedSurg (1/5) patients - there are time that there are no 'ICU' patients on the floor.

Common diagnoses: Heavy cath lab - Coronary angiograms & stenting, peripheral angiograms & stenting, sepsis, neurosurgery, drug & alcohol abuse, COPD, CHF, etc. ICU: occasional IABP, Impella (higher acuity typically go to core staff) Occasional peds - go to core staff.
