Requirements

Experience

3 months of travel experience is required.

24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience is required.

References

Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a District of Columbia license

Additional Details:

Shift: 3 x 12 D or D/N 0700-1930/1900-0700

On Call/Weekend Requirement: no on call requirement; weekend included in rotation

Float requirement: Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.

2 years of experience - MS Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Tele, experience with interpretation of dysrhythmias, feeding tube care and management, IV Therapy to include PICC line and peripheral line management & IV Start

Must be willing to orient to charge

Return Staff Policy If a nurse has held previous employment with Medstar, must be gone for a minimum of 1 year to return as a traveler.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If Clinician has questions, please email the AM.
