Experience
Travel experience is required.
24 months of Intensive Care Unit experience is required.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a District of Columbia license

Additional Details:

Shift: 12D/N OR 12N 48HRS

Rotating shifts can vary between switching between days and nights within the same week and/or working a few weeks of days and then a few weeks of nights. Flexibility is a must.

Holiday Coverage needed.

Certs Preferred: BSN.

Skill Required: Cerner, Interpretation and Management of dysrhythmias, Multi-system organ failure, IV insulin protocols, GI surgery, Chronic/Acute Renal failure and IV therapy, CVA/Acute Stroke management, External ventricular drains (EVD), Hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, ICP monitoring, Post Neurosurgery management, Spinal cord injury, Traumatic Brain injury, Respiratory/Thoracic care, Infection Prevention, Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE, Phlebotomy, Surgical Wounds with drains/Wound Vac.

Charge Nurse Exp preferred.

Patient Diagnosis: Post-transplant (liver, kidney/pancreas, small intestine, islet cell, multivisceral), ESLD, ESRD, thoracic/abdominal/ENT/Flaps/General surgery, sepsis, multisystem organ failure, pre-transplant hepatology patients, overflow from neurosurgery (craniotomy, CVA, etc.), overflow from MICU.

Must have 1 prior travel assignment.

Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.

May come into contact with Covid Patients

Pre-approved time off on case per case basis based on unit needs. Travelers scheduled after permanent and PRN staff make schedule requests within self-scheduling system.

RTO - RTO must be on the submittal and cannot be changed once the profile has been sent to the manager for review.

No more than 7 days of RTO per 13 week contract - highly preferred. No RTO the first two weeks of an assignment.
