Floating - The travelers would not be expected to float in order to keep things simple. Tele patients do come to our floor but they are monitored in ICU as well, but they do come to our floor. The RN would not float to chemo area, but we do take patients who are receiving chemotherapy sometimes. We have our nurses have ACLS and PALS/ENPC, because of the variety of patients we take. I suppose it would not have to be required of a traveler but certainly helpful. Due to the rural nature of our organization, we take a wide variety of patients that may not be on a typical medical /surgical floor in a more urban area.
