Requirements
Experience
18 months of role experience is required.
24 months of Intermediate Care Unit experience is required.
Experience with Cerner is required.
References
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Illinois license

ACLS (Required)

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Open to a later start date.

Weekend Requirement: Will work every other weekend

On Call not required.

Block Schedule: Discuss schedule requests with manager.

Special Requirements:

-Required Work Setting Experience: MS/Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Tele, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown.

-Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry -on the unit monitoring, Telemetry- remote monitoring.

-Required Cardiovascular Case Skills/Experience: Post Cardiac Angiogram, Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery, Sheath Removal, TR band.

-Required Gastrointestinal Case Skills/Experience: Feeding tube care and management.

-Required Genitourinary/Renal Case Skills/Experience: Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure.

-Required IV therapy/Phlebotomy skills/experience: Accessing Ports, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs.

-Required Medication Skills/Experience: Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, Manage Vasoactive drips-no titration, PCA, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips.

-Required Neurological/Psychiatric Case Skills/Experience: CVA.

-Experience with Surgical drains required.

-Required Respiratory Case Skills/Experience: Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Non-invasive airway management.

-Required Professional Topics and Skills: Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac.

-Previous charge experience preferred.

-Teaching hospital experience preferred.

-Level I Trauma experience preferred.

Magnet hospital/facility.

Scrub Color: Any solid color.

RTO – we can auto-approve 5 days of non holiday RTO or less. Anything more requires facility approval.

Candidate must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.

Floating is 100% required of all travelers - Candidates will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospital/s near by.

Background Policy to be noted prior to submission so we can seek approval prior to offer.

Any Perm or PRN employee of Memorial must be away for 12 months before applying as a traveler.
