Additional Details:
Scheduling: Expected to work every other weekend, every other holiday where applicable.
Block booking and Schedule patterns are based on department needs.
36 guaranteed hours.
Monday - Friday.
Shift to be determined at time of request).
Call Coverage 1-2 Weeknights 1500-0630; 4x 8hr shifts plus additional 4 hours weekly to reach 36GH.
Rotating call weeknights, weekends and holiday coverage. Call is currently shared among 4 RNs.
OSF Call Off Policy: Equivalent of 12 hours every 13 weeks with no penalty or need to pay for the shift; Nonbillable Orientation hours: 12; Guaranteed hours will not apply during orientation.
Experience with Moderate Sedation.
Minimum 2 years experience in GI.
Types of procedures required.
- Knowledgeable and skillful in preparing and assisting physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures .
- Procedures performed include but not limited to: EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, Bronchoscopy.
- Administration of and monitoring patients receiving moderate sedation.
Required skills and minimum years of experience.
- IV skills.
Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only)
- Inpatient and Outpatient procedures performed with an average daily number of procedures ~ 12.
Dress Code:
- Navy Blue scrubs.
