Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required from any number of months.

18 months of Hospice experience is required from any number of months.

Experience with Oasis is required from any number of months.

Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a South Dakota license or compact license

BLS (Required)

Vaccinations

Guaranteed Hour: 40

Shift: Monday- Friday, every third weekend with up to 1 12-hour call shift each week. Will work holidays if they fall on a weekday.

There are 3 primary field locations for this position – area served will be discussed during the interview:

Rapid City
Custer/Hill City
Hot Springs

Patient Types: Home Health and Hospice

Patient Ratios: RN: Approximately manage a case load of 20-25 patients

Required Education: Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing

Skills required: hospice philosophy, infection control practices, wound vacs, wound care, PICC line dressing changes, port access, IV infusions, drains, critical thinking skills, catheter insertion, drains; Ability to drive at night

Charting System: Epic Remote

Will you accept a first-time traveler? If they have experience in home health and hospice

Permanent staff must wait 1 full year to return as a traveler

Scrub Color: Any color of scrubs or business casual dress
