Experience
12 months of role experience is required from any number of months.
24 months of Progressive Care Unit experience is required from any number of months.
Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

Community Hospital Experience Required.

Previous Charge Experience Preferred.

Holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments as needed per unit.

Weekend Req.: 8 weekend shifts in Saint Luke’s 6-week schedule period, combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday.

Skills Required: Work Settings: MS/Tele, Telemetry Oncology, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, ER Holding, Neuro Stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown. Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry -on the unit monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams. Cardiovascular: Post Cardiac Angiogram, Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath. Gastrointestinal: Feeding tube care and management. Genitourinary/Renal: Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure. IV therapy/Phlebotomy: Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs. MEDICATIONS: Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, Manage Vasoactive drips-no titration, PCA. Neurological/Psychiatric: CVA. Plastics: Surgical drains. Respiratory: Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of ABGs, Nasal Cannula, Oxygen face masks, Non-invasive airway management, Tracheostomy Management. Professional Topics and Skills: Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac.

Skills Preferred: Cardiovascular: Sheath Removal. IV therapy/Phlebotomy: Accessing Ports, Phlebotomy. Orthopedics: Total Joint Replacements.

Must have a full year of in-specialty experience within the past 12 months with no gap in employment greater than 90 days in the past year
