Requirements
Experience
24 months of role experience is required from any number of months.
24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience is required from last 4 years.
References
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a West Virginia license or compact license

BLS (Required)
ACLS (Preferred)
Vaccinations

Additional Details:

Previous perm staff must be gone for 2 years before they are eligible to return in a traveler capacity. No exceptions.

Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.

If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility.

Roles requiring a state licensure only: Cannot have any licensure hits

No blocked schedule

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Holiday Requirement: as scheduled

Floating Requirements: Other med surg units as needed. Travelers are first to float.

Beds: 20

Do you know what patients she would be working with? 2 West is med/surg with telemetry and 4 East is med/surg and oncology floor. The patients are varied. Examples: COPD, CHF, Cancer patients, Atrial Fibrillation, et cetera.

Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Pneumonia, COVID, surgical patients, cardiac

Experience or 'Must have' skills: Blood administration, med surg/tele experience.

Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes - Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Cardizem, Insulin, Heparin

RN's read tele strips.

Required certifications: EKG comp Preferred

Scrub Color/Dress Code: Any color scrubs as long as they are clean and neat.
