Travel Nurse (RN) - Post Anesthesia Care Unit

Job Details: ERU is a quaint 12 bed post-surgical unit expecting both planned and unplanned admissions that are expected to stay overnight with an early morning DC.

Skills: Some patients will discharge same day, however majority spend the night with a morning discharge planned by 1100 the next day which then prepares the unit for the next post-surgical cases. Nurses are on the move as the admissions may be called up from PACU, Eye Institute, IR, Vascular or later in the evening when PAR closes. Nurses are managing pain control and making sure their patients are meeting their milestones for discharge. Patient populations/procedures involve Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI), Total Thyroidectomy, Panniculectomies, Uterine Fibroids, Orthopedic procedures, endoscopy, adrenalectomy, etc.

Schedule Notes:1 position, NOC 2 12’s (24 hours) and 2 8’s (16 hours) to equal 40 hours a week. 2 (12’s) would be 1900-0730 and 2 (8’s) would be 1500-2330

Could potentially float to any other unit in the hospital

Weekends Required.
