Guaranteed Hours 48 hours per week
Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Adults and Peds >15 years old. Various Trauma injuries (only level 1 trauma center for the system, take in a lot of transfers and/or ED admits), Sepsis, stroke, ARDS, MODS, COPD, cardiac arrest. CVPs, IABP and Impella-core staff will take if no exp; Alines, Swans, EV-1000, ICP monitoring- all can train real time. Zoll-Thermoguard for hypothermia protocol, Bell Mont rapid transfuse.
Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, antiarrhythmics.
RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot?: Nasal cannula to vents.
Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors?: No techs- Draeger heart monitoring with centralized telemetry monitoring. RNs need to be able to read and interpret.
Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): 0630-1830, 1830-0630 // self-scheduling, managed by manager based on unit needs.
Weekend Requirements: 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period.
Floating Requirements: All over to the inpatient units, excluding Maternity/NICU.
Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy Blue.
RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract).
Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
