All RNs are expected to float to their capacities in their hospitals, IMCU can float to M/S, ICU can float to IMCU, M/S can float M/S units.
Flexibility: Be prepared to float based on census and acuity. Some IMCU may float to ER Hold
IMCU units vary from regular Stepdown to CV Stepdown to Neuro Stepdown
CVIMCU requires Cardio experience recently
Neuro IMCU requires neuro specific experience in the last 3 years
All IMCU and higher specialties are required to take an EKG Strip test and Medication tests on 1st day. Should they not pass they will be granted 1 remediation, passing is 80+% (We provide study guides for all of them)
Former perm employees must be separated from any CHS facility for at least 6 months
Labs: must be completed within 48 hours of signing contract
