Shifts & Scheduling: 6 week scheduling. Scheduling is done by unit schedulers
Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
Holiday Requirements: Will rotate with perm staff
Floating Requirements: Med/Surg and to all areas in the hospital, depending on abilities, including ICU/ED for appropriate types of patient care
Scrub Color/Dress code: Navy Blue
Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Adults, generally patients that arrive through the ER, Mixed Medical/Surgical along with cardiac and stroke patients
Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes - Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Heparin, octreotide, insulin, maintenance dosages of IV meds (non-titratable)
RNs must be able to read and interpret
How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: First week is classroom orientation, then 2- 12 hour shifts
This is a high flow unit with frequent admissions, transfers, and discharges. Looking for positive nurses willing to work with others as a team to overcome challenges. Having a unit secretary 2-3 days/week and a stocking clerk 3 days/week
Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
