Experience

12 months of role experience is required.

24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 24 months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 24 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Maine license or compact license

BLS (Required)

Vaccinations

Additional Details:

Maine Medical Center requires all candidates to have at least 1 year of Facility Trauma Level 1 experience to be considered.

Must Have Skills/Experience: must be able to read tele strips, telemetry, dilt gtts, amiodarone gtts, insulin, Lasix and bumex gtts. Chest tubes, vac dressings, cardiac catherizations, pacemakers

Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 48/36

Weekend Hours: 36 (unless otherwise noted): mostly every other weekend

Call Requirements: no

Float Requirements: To any med/surg tele unit

Preferred Skillset/Experience: Stroke patients

Type of Patients on Unit: Medical telemetry. Ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes

Dress Code: Scrub Color: NA

Any unacceptable attire: Hoodies, tight fitting clothing. Follow MMC Dress Code , Hair Up, No Fragrance, Smoke Free, Plugged Piercings/Gauges, No V-Necks
