Experience
24 months of Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit experience is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license

Additional Details:

We are a blended unit of MS/ICU patients. 5 ICU beds and 27 MS. ICU RNs at times take 1-2 MS patients depending on acuity or ICU volumes in ICU. For example, the ICU RN may have 1 ICU patient with 2 MS patients. Vents are 1:1 and ICU patients are 1:2-3 pending acuity.** 1:5-6 ratios are for MS. In ICU 1:2-3 ratio depending on acuity. We also have CCTs with our RNs. We are flexible with scheduling. Hourly rounding required.

BSSR required.

Flex weekends if needed. Holidays: Every third. NO CALL.

The ability to read Telemetry Strips required as the position will need to read them once per shift in the ICU.

Must have Higher acuity PCU or ICU exp. as this is a mixed unit. The expectation will be to take PCU-ICU level pts. as well as MS.

BID, CCAP, and WI caregiver are to be completed and uploaded into Optimizer within 48 hours.

Proof of background initiation and proof of lab/DS appt must be emailed to Vaya compliance team within 48 hours.

Compliance/Lab Note: Vacation/Work schedule interference - If candidates are not able to go into the labs ASAP after signing, it may lead to a cancellation. Candidates should be aware that they will need to adjust their schedule accordingly to go in for labs for their new assignment within the timeframe required.
