Travel Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical Unit

Scheduling: Expected to work every other weekend, every other holiday where applicable.

Block booking and Schedule patterns are based on department needs.

Minimum of 2 years Med/Surg Neuro experience

Types of patients: All Neuroscience. Neck and back spinal surgery, stroke, brain tumor, seizure, head injury, MS, Myasthenia Gravis, Peripheral neuropathy, encephalopathy, Spinal fractures, etc

Could float to another gen/med unit (Nephrology, Oncology, Ortho, Adult medical Surgical, Surgical, Rehab, Cardiac 5 G) These are all general medical units that any of our staff could float to.

Scrubs- no certain colors, just matching and professional, tattoos and nose rings covered while on duty

Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program. 3 days- Day on Canvas training, Introductions, tour etc, Day 2 and 3 on unit clinical orientation with a preceptor
