Requirements
Experience
24 months of role experience is required from any number of months.
Travel experience is required from any number of months.
12 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience is preferred from any number of months.
Experience with Meditech is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license

Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend

Is there a call or standby requirement?: Depends on staffing

Floating Requirements: Yes - MedSurg, ER. wherever in the hospital the nurse is needed - Perm staff is usually first to float

L&D Beds: 15 total- 7 L&D, 8 Postpartum

OR Suites on the unit for C-Sections: 1

Do you follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios?: 1:1 for pit, mag, or insulin drips. 1:3 couplet care.

Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Mix. Mainly obstetric/neonates, hypertension, GDM, try not to deliver anyone less than 36 weeks

Experience or 'Must have' skills: able to read and interpret fetal strips, must be able to read strips

Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes - Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Pitocin, insulin, magnesium

Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity within the past 12 months.

RTO needed upfront - Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.

Scrub Color/Dress code: scrub color is maroon, scrubs are provided and RN will change once on the unit into our surgical scrubs
