While only one reference is required for submittal, two manager references will need to be provided during onboarding in order to be compliant with Johns Hopkins requirements.
Shift: 36 or 48 hours week; PM or A/P Rotation
Weekend rotation: EOW
Holidays: Every other/as needed
Call: 2 AVL call shifts per 6 week schedule
Float as needed to area of like skill set/ ICU/IMC/CVPCU
The Johns Hopkins Hospital Cardiovascular Surgical ICU (CVSICU/ Zayed 5 East) is a 18 bed unit that provides care for patients who are recovering from cardiac surgery, cardiac transplantation, lung transplantation, the placement of ventricular assist devices, and other complex procedures.
Nurse/Patient Ratio: 1:1 or 1:2
Experience Needed: Trained and worked in a dedicated Open-Heart Unit receiving patients directly from the OR.
Required: current experience with recovery of post-op cardiac surgery patients in an ICU setting, Vent, CRRT, Swan, Epicardial wires/pacemakers, vasoactive gtts titration, level 1 IABP, ECMO
Preferred: trauma course
