Travel Nurse (RN) - Infusion Center

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Weekend REQ: Will work every other weekend.

Certs REQ: Chemo (ONS/ONCC) required.

Is on-call REQ? On-call required if needed for dept.

Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Will float as needed.

Open to accommodating block schedule? Discuss schedule requests with manager.

Special Requirements:

Required Chemotherapy Skills/Experience: Administration of chemotherapy, Management/disposal cytotoxic spills, Monitor chemotherapy, Recognize/ communicate abnormal lab values.

Required IV Therapy/ Infusions Skills/Experience: Accessing Ports, Administration of coagulation factors, Antifungals, Antivirals, Blood/Blood product administration, Care and management of ports, Central line blood draw, Central Line/Implanted Line Care, Infusion pump management, Intravenous hydration/multivitamins, PICC line care, Starting IVs.

Required Medication Skills/Experience: Antiemetic, Antitumor, Antibiotic, Corticosteroids, Neupogen, Hormonal therapy.

Required Pain Management Skills/Experience: IV push narcotic agents, Medication tolerance/dependence assessment, Transdermal patches.

Required Professional Knowledge and Skills: Isolation Precautions, Neutropenic precautions, Phlebotomy skills.

Scrub Color: Any solid color.

RTO – we can auto-approve 5 days of non holiday RTO or less. Anything more requires facility approval. Candidate must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.

Floating is 100% required of all travelers - Candidates will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospital/s near by

Background Policy to be noted prior to submission so we can seek approval prior to offer

Any PERM or PRN employee of Memorial must be away for 12 months before applying as a traveler
