Previous perm staff must be gone for 2 years before they are eligible to return in a traveler capacity. No exceptions.
Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.
If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility.

What units are included in the float pool All inpatients units based on competency (ICU, Step-down, medical/surgical).
Ratios Depends on unit. Med/surg=1:6. Step-down = 1:4/5. ICU = 1-2/3
Common diagnoses/Types of patients Cardiac patients, ortho/neuro, surgical, medical – varies by unit
Experience or 'Must have' skills Med/Surg background. Step-down preferred
Are RNs required to titrate drips? Yes in the step-down areas only
Common titratable &/or set rate drips Heparin, Cardizem, nitro, Cardene, insulin, dobutamine, dopamine, activase, esmolol, lidocaine, lobatelol, primacore, procanimide, agrostat, verapamil
