Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required from last 3 years.

24 months of Neurologic Intensive Care Unit experience is required from last 12 months.

3 months of experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Maryland license or compact license

BLS (Required)

ACLS (Preferred)

Additional Details:

While only one reference is required for submittal, two manager references will need to be provided during onboarding in order to be compliant with Johns Hopkins requirements.

Preferred: Critical Care Certification, trauma course

36 or 48 hours - No Guaranteed Hours

Weekends: 3 of 6 weekends

Call : 2-on call per 6-week schedule

The patients in the Neuro ICU suffer from severe brain injuries, stroke or brain tumors and many are post-op from a neurosurgical procedure. The Neurosciences Critical Care Unit (NCCU) providers specialize in post-operative neurosurgical care to neurologically complex patients such as those with stroke, brain tumors, and nerve and muscle diseases. The patient population of the NCCU requires care providers to interface between the brain and other vital organ systems.
