Event Description
How to Win Friends and Influence Nurse Leaders
Clear, purposeful communication is what separates a good but frustrated nurse from a great and fulfilled nurse.
This session will help nurses learn how to best communicate with nurse leaders to effectively impact change and advocate for themselves and their patients. If you’re feeling frustrated, confused, or defeated with leadership or management, this event is for you. These communication techniques will instill positivity and confidence in any nurse — whether brand new to the bedside, or a seasoned nurse of many decades.
Dr. Lori Armstrong, CEO & Chief Clinical Officer at Inspire Nurse Leaders and Adjunct Faculty at Drexel University’s College of Nursing, will inspire nurses to communicate for change, discussing topics like:
- How to find and communicate your purpose and core values
- Venting: Helpful or hurtful?
- Conflict resolution: What to say and what not to say
- The Nurse Communication Toolkit
- Live Q&A
There’s never been a more important time to communicate your needs and advocate for positive change — nurses have the stage, the spotlight, and the power. Let’s make the most of it for better outcomes and a healthy work environment.
Learn the tactics and techniques to communicate effectively so you can thrive in your chosen profession.
