Our mission at Trusted is to get everyone everywhere the care they deserve. And we believe the only way to truly achieve this outcome is by empowering and mobilizing nurses. It’s clear that investing in nurses leads to better outcomes for not only nurses themselves, but also patients and hospitals. This means focusing on their health, growth and development, and personal lives so they have the support and resources they need to cultivate and sustain a meaningful career.
We built Trusted to put nurses first, and we continue to achieve this every day. As the Founding Nurse, my responsibility is to ensure everything we’re doing, saying, building, talking about, and spending time or resources on entails a nurses-first perspective.
Accordingly, we celebrate nurses as often as possible, whether it’s celebrating the passion, hard work, and successes of our Nurse Advocates; the feedback we receive about our Trusted Nurses from managers, peers, and patients; or, rallying around the gratitude and positive feedback they share with us. We bring the reality of what nursing can be, particularly modern nursing, to the forefront of Trusted and weave it into everything we do.
As nurses, we don’t do what we do for the recognition. For most, it’s quite the opposite. So, it’s even more impactful when our efforts are recognized for the impact they have, whether on patients, co-workers, family members, or each other.
I couldn’t be more proud of what we’re doing here at Trusted, from the inside out, and am humbled by the opportunity to partner with the DAISY Foundation to recognize our Trusted Nurses.
The opportunity to focus all of my work over the last two years on nurses has been incredibly gratifying, more so than I ever could have expected. Every day, I interact with, am challenged by, develop relationships with, and am humbled by fellow nurses. And I couldn’t think of a better way to recognize the efforts and successes of nurses than with a DAISY Award.
