Requirements
Experience
24 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience is required.
3 months of experience with Epic is preferred.
References
Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 36 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license

Additional Details:

Guaranteed Hours Per Week: 36 hours.

Weekend/Holiday: Every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation.

On Call/Call Back Requirements: Variable Call required; 30-min response time.

Previous experience working in Critical Access Hospital is beneficial.

Required Skillset: Ability to work independently in Labor & Delivery, Post-partum. Previous charge experience is preferred.

Nurse to Patient Ratio: OB – (Low risk) 1:1 active labor, 1:2 for early labor, post-partum (couplets) up to 1:3 (1:3 is a rare occurrence).

Scrub colors: OB Scrubs are provided by the hospital.

GSA is not guaranteed orientation week. Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closed.

**Candidate must start medical portion of compliance within 48 hours of accepted offer, or 24 hours for a quick start.
