Skills REQ: Cardiovascular: Atrial Septic defect (adult) repair, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft, MAZE Procedure’ Mitral valve replacement, TAVR (Transaortic Valve Replacement). Emergency management: Fire Safety. EQUIPMENT/ INSTRUMENTATION/SUPPLIES: Cell saver. Professional Knowledge and Skills: Administration of blood products, Infection control, Laser Safety, Radiation Safety, Specimen Handling/labeling, Universal Protocol (Time out) Procedure Wound Management.

Floating may be required between departments, units and facilities as needed– they would need both Kansas and Missouri or compact in hand at time of submission. The unwillingness to do so will result in a cancel.

Must have a full year of in-specialty experience within the past 12 months with no gap in employment greater than 90 days in the past year

Docs will be due 2 Fridays before the start date. There are also 10-15 hours of modules to be done as part of compliance, which are due Monday 1 week prior to start.
Drug Screening: If the candidate's drug screen results come back "diluted" or positive, and cannot be cleared by the MRO, the candidate assignment will be canceled. The Candidate will have to wait 6 months before re-applying.
Modules:
Modules are generally completed pre-start (exceptions due to IT issues), and annually
Modules are recorded by facility
Roles requiring state licensure only: Floating roles must have MO license and is in the process of applying for KS license (+ vice-versa) or must have a compact licensure to apply.
If requesting 7 days of RTO, the expectation is that the missed time is made up
