Requirements
Experience
24 months of role experience is required.
Travel experience is preferred.
24 months of Cardiac Cath Lab experience is required.
Experience with Cerner is required.
References

Guaranteed Hours 40

Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): RNs- variable 10 hr shift starting at 6-630a depending on cases *Self scheduling is allowed, however, we only honor the requested time off in their contracts as we try to meet the departments' needs first and this being a union hospital, seniority is honored.

Weeknight/Call Requirements: 12-14 (including weekends) call days of weekday call required per 4 week schedule. Starts when staff leave for the day roughly 5p-7a unit the start of next shift

Weekend/Call Requirements: Required call every other weekend. Starts when they get off shift on Friday about 5p and it goes through to Monday at 7a

Holiday/Call Requirements: Call required- depending on the needs

What is call response time?: 30 minutes, no call room

Suites/labs: 3 suites Cath/ EP, 1 suite for Complex IR

Common diagnoses/Types of patients:

  • Cath lab- L&R interventional and diagnostic, implants, pacers, STEMIs ect, Balloon Pump, Impella, ECMO, shockwaves- rotablader
  • EP- EP studies, diagnostics, ablations, watchmans, TAVR etc Trauma- ebmolization, peripheral cases IR- complex more in depth intervention, embolize bleed
  • Neuro- Cerebral aneurysms, diagnostics, thrombectomies, rotoblade, coils, etc.

Job Duties: Circulate, no scrub required. Moderate sedation. patient teaching. transporting patient to and from original departmet. All other medication administration. Equipment set up of Balloon Pump, Impella and Rotablade. Good communication and rapport with interventionalist and other relevant staff in the hospital. Practices hand-off and SBAR.

Experience or 'Must have' skills: experience setting up the above equipment (EP, Neuro, trauma, and complex IR experience preferred) but a willingness to learn these areas if necessary.

Additional Notes: Candidates should be flexible and willing to stay past their 10 hour shifts if they are needed, for longer cases
