Experience
24 months of role experience is required.
12 months of Intermediate Care Unit experience is required.
References
Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 36 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Additional Details:

Guaranteed Hours: 36

Nurse-Patient Ratios: MS 1:5, IMCU 1:3

Common diagnoses/Types of patients: COPD, CHF, PNA, HTN, DM Type 2; they do see some pediatrics.

Experience or 'Must have' skills: Must be comfortable titrating Cardizem and Amio. Will accept first time travelers.

RNs are required to titrate drips.

Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Cardizem, Amio, Heparin.

Monitor techs, Mindray; must be comfortable reading and interpreting tele strips.

Shifts & Scheduling: 7-7:30. 2 Week Block scheduling made out by management; Nights they try to group 3-4 shifts in a row.

Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend.

Holiday Requirement: May be asked to go into the Holiday Rotation if it falls on a regularly scheduled shift.

On Call or a Standby requirement: None

Floating Requirements: No, but if they have prior ED experience they may be asked to float to the ED. Could be asked to be helping hands in ER or ICU if needs (would not take a patient assignment).

Scrub Color: Any color

Additional Notes: MS, IMCU, and ICU are all on the same floor.
